Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Outsourcing, this role resides in the business and manages the first line of defence for regulatory and operational oversight with respect to the Company DAC Outsourcing Operating model, related projects and development, and in meeting the outsourcing regulatory obligations of the firm.
The role holder will help develop the governance framework to ensure the continued timely completion of mandatory regulatory tasks, monitor, support and improve the governance of Outsourcing Service Providers and help develop and drive forward the strategy of the Outsourcing Governance team.
  • In addition, the role will be responsible for identifying trends, themes and issues related to Outsourcing, and proposing and driving through solutions.
  • The role holder will also be capable of representing the business at appropriate internal and external forums and contributing to/influencing these as appropriate. Thorough knowledge of Financial Services rules and regulations is a must.
  • A self-starter and team player, highly motivated to make a difference and with strong problem solving, analytical ability, oral and written communication skills. Possesses the ability to handle stressful situations with internal clients and regulators, while maintaining a professional approach to problem solving.
Ability to effectively deal with senior management as well as, Federal/State and other Regulators:
  • Supports the Head of Outsourcing in discharging the responsibilities of the Outsourcing Governance Team.
  • Monitors OSP performance and completes due diligence.
  • Provides insight and ideas to the strategy and development of the Outsourcing Governance Team.
  • Engages with key stakeholders such as Operations, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit and OSPs, wider industry forum(s).
  • Ensures the accurate record keeping of all OSP activities and regulatory engagements as per policy and in line with CBI regulations.
  • Supports the Head of Outsourcing in setting departmental priorities and help ensure sufficient resource capacity to meet and align with business objectives.
  • No direct reports: provides technical advice/guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Provides feedback to Head of Outsourcing re team members development needs and performance.

 

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
