HGV Drivers (Food and/or Ice-Cream)

A 100% Irish, family owned wholesale food supplier and food distributor, delivering throughout the Republic of Ireland is actively seeking to recruit HGV Drivers (Food & Ice-Cream) for its expanding fleet.

Their fleet of multi-temperature trucks guarantees a professional and efficient service to meet the needs of chefs in hotels, restaurants, bars, catering businesses, health care, government institutions and education facilities but also butchers, retailers and take-away’s.

General Food deliveries are conducted on Tuesday – Saturday (No Monday work) and all Ice-Cream Retail Deliveries are conducted on Monday – Friday.

This a fantastic opportunity with generous Weekly Food Allowances and also the added benefit of Bonus Commission Pay based on the amount of cases to be delivered on any certain day or % of Sales Value and/or Promotional Offers (Ice-Cream > Retail).

Key Responsibilities: 

• Delivery of food to clients in a professional and timely manner
• Ability to strike up a good relationship with clients on your daily delivery route
• Retail Sales/Negotiation (Ice-Cream > Retail)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• 1 year + experience in similar role
• Clean/Valid HGV License
• Valid DigiPass
• Comfortable operating in a face-paced environment, working effectively to deadlines
• Ability to sell/negotiate with customers (Ice-cream >Retail)
• Good communication skills
