Accounts Assistant

A 100% Irish, family owned wholesale food supplier and food distributor, delivering throughout the Republic of Ireland is actively seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their expanding Accounts Department (Fully Onsite Role > No Hybrid / Remote Working).

This a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accounting Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) to progress in their career with further progression opportunities within the Company in the future.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Managing all aspects of the payroll and bookkeeping process
• Assist in the Preparation of periodic Management Accounts to include preparation of supporting reconciliations (Bank reconciliation, Bank Lodgements, Debtor & Creditor reconciliations, Stock Control)
• Preparation of full accounts to Trial Balance
• Verification, allocation and posting of transactions to maintain Client Accounts.
• Assistance with Payroll (MicroPay)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• 2 years+ experience in similar role
• Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI) or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA)
• Payroll experience would be advantageous/preferential
• Comfortable operating in a face-paced environment, working effectively to deadlines.
• Ability to work off own initiative and willingness to take on ad-hoc projects while also operating within a team environment
• Strong systems experience including cloud based accounting software experience (Sage), in addition to strong Microsoft Office Excel experience.
• Excellent communication skills
